Halff Recognized for Innovative Water Project in Houston
Halff’s City of Houston Stormwater Master Plan (SWMP) received special recognition from the National Association of Flood and Stormwater Management Agencies (NAFSMA) through its Innovative Water Project Awards Program. This national program highlights projects that advance flood risk reduction, stormwater solutions and water quality improvements while delivering multiple community benefits.
The SWMP is a comprehensive modeling analysis of Houston’s stormwater infrastructure, equipping the city with data-driven tools to identify flood-prone areas and develop targeted solutions. By tailoring strategies to specific neighborhoods, the plan will help reduce the impact of urban flooding on homes and businesses, ultimately supporting a safer and more resilient Houston.
